Tutoring

Hi there,

It's me, here sharing my world.  I have two very interesting clients tutoring at the the moment.  One client is extremely eccentric, he is diagnosed with having Attention Defficit Disorder and is presently in denial, as is his mom.  He boldly told me "I don't have A.D.D. the doctors are just fooling my mom to get her money." The child has some odd behavioural patterns which bare alot of semblance to autism.  He and is mom are quite the duo, I must say... He blurted out one day when I sat to speak with him about my observation re: his symptoms....  I told him that he possesses a lot of traits which are as follows: distractibility, inattention and poor memory.  I then proceeded to ask him he is aware of a disorder known as Attention Deficit Disorder? To my surprise he blurted out.... "Miss Ulett you know my secret!"  I said,"I do, do I..."
He is very outspoken and I'm one who allows a child to remain with his view.  I never try to dter him in his attempts to speak how he feels, but have to be firm and inform him of when his mannerisms are "inappropriate."
